Overview

Unfinished page, click one of the buttons at the top please.

You aren't supposed to be looking at this.

Like with Alice, I had a page for him on Tumblr with some additional information that would go in the Overview section of this page.

  • Crossdresses most of the time due to his species not really having gender norms.
  • Is mostly okay with any pronouns (due to not really caring about them), but if asked he only uses he/him.
  • Doesn't have any interest in romance or monogamy, unlike most gardevoirs.
  • Is terrified of ghosts and other undead, but only in person.

Also need a temporary section for likes

  • Rhythm games (such as Project Diva)
  • Vocaloid songs (though he mostly only knows the ones in Project Diva)

Trivia

  • Trace was named after his ability, which is also called Trace.
  • Trace's middle name came from a legendary white dragon, he took the name as a memento of his past.
  • Trace's last name was given to him when he became a pokémon trainer.
Rather uncreatively, it came from his hair color.
  • His ability to read other peoples feelings only works in person, and his reliance on it makes him very bad at online conversations and phone calls.
  • Although it looks like he moves via levitation, he actually moves by telekinetically trying to move the ground (Newton's thrid law of motion also applies to telekinesis).
  • According to the stats judge at Gear Station, Trace's special defence "can't be better", though his nature hinders it.
  • Trace's page has the most off-site links out of any character page, with 6 links to Bulbapedia

Abilities

Standard gardevoir abilities
There's a bunch of stuff here that I don't want to clutter the ability list with, go to this page for more details.
Abilities covered by this include (but are not limited to): Reading other people's feelings, ignoring gravity, telekinesis, local weather manipulation, teleportation, and copying other people's abilities.
Abilities not covered by this (due to Trace not having the associated abilities) include: Telepathic communication, and copying harmful statuses onto the one who inflicted them.
Hypnotizing people
Technically this falls under "Standard gardevoir abilities", but Trace is a lot better at it than most gardevoirs would be.
Most gardevoirs (most pokémon who can learn Hypnosis in general, really) can only hypnotize someone into falling asleep, but those with proficiency or natural talent can give proper commands to those they've hypnotized (or even rewrite parts of their mind in some cases).
This ability is a lot easier to use on consenting targets.
Trace doesn't actually know he has this ability, he just thinks people are exaggerating how difficult hypnosis is.
The reason Trace doesn't use this for more than putting people to sleep is because he finds it immoral to.
Crossing between dimensions
An extension of Trace's ability to teleport.
Trace can teleport to any notable location he's been to, including those in other dimensions (he can also take people or objects with him).
Longer distances require more time and energy, interdimensional travel is considered a very long distance.
Recalling previously copied abilities from memory
An extension of Trace's ability to copy other people's abilities.
Trace can copy an ability that he's very familiar with, even without someone with that ability being nearby.
For an ability to be considered "in his library", he has to have spent a lot of time with that ability, meaning it probably belongs to someone he hangs out with often.
This "ability to change his ability" is quite slow to use and requires his full attention, making it impractical to switch abilities mid-fight.
